Congratulations to the new batch of Carolinian pharmacisst who took the Pharmacy Licensure Exam last June 29-30. And yes, there's a topnotcher from USC! Tenth place. 40 out of 48 board takers passed. Yeah, go make your mommas and daddas proud. The school also! :D
I think it really feels soooooooo GOOD to know that you've passed. And I just can't believe sooner or later, I'll also be taking that exam. Omg. Haha but for now, pass all our subjects first! Best of luck! God bless all along the way! C'mon, work work work, sweat it all out in studying~!
It's June. School was delayed for one week. I can't believe I'm finally on my third year. They say... "malapit na ah". yeah, two more years to go and I'd be finally facing another phase of my life. During our very first week at school, we were pretty much busy already. We got no minor subjects now and that's how serious it can get! All pharma stuff!!! Sometimes I feel like I wanna relax my mind for a bit or for a split second. It's like we have to study every now and then because everyday's a quiz day. They actually come into surprises. And guess what, more memorization and understanding this time! Plus, more numbers to deal with also! Analytical skills, computations, problem solving... I really never liked Math but practicing it does help. Of course, you got no choice. Best of luck to me! But even though hell days seem to come, I still feel good to be back in school, back with my classmates and friends! especially my dear B's. I've missed them during summer. :D They are the ones who keep you smiling, and laughing real hard even if the tough times are up. Awww, thanks girls. :-*
I can't help but smile when I see freshmens. It just feels like yesterday when me and my classmates were still freshmens then. Time runs too fast, you can't help but notice that we've grown up and have learned much from our experiences. Now that we're on our third year, which they say is the most difficult, I hope and pray everything would go out well. There's no more turning back now. Onward to the profession I desire. May God bless us all juniors. I know we can do it! Aja!
I miss summer though. I really enjoyed my summer vacay eventhough there were times at home that I felt so bored. The best thing about my summer was.... hahaha nevermind! Secret na lang. RAWRR. XD
BEFORE:
Do I look like a kid or looked more matured?!
Before school started... It was the end of May..
I went to the salon with my lovin' momma and decided to cut my hair real shoooooort. :D
"Nasayangan ako." The hairdresser said. I just smiled. Yeah, I know my hair was already too long. Take the risk, experiment with your looks. I need not to worry cause I know it'll just grow. :)
I've always waited for this moment to come because I really liked it this way. I always had my hair short when I was a kid. It was just during my first two college years then I had it grew long. Why did I grow it long? First, because I wanna try to live the fantasy I had when I was a kid that having long hair is much prettier! Second, I had my hair straight. It's more fuss-free than having it wavy with all the dead strands of hair sticking out. Third, just inspired. Someone wanted to have it long. :) Awww. But really, thanks for that because I also like how I looked when it was long. It feels so much like a girl!!! Hahaha.
Now they're teasing me.. "Katrina Halili." What the heck. :D whatevs, short or long hair, I'd still feel beautiful. ;)
Dear John,
I don't really know how to tell you this, I'm selling myself for candy. I think I realized it when I finally changed my underwear in your closet and I saw you hit on my father. I'm sure you're cowardly enough to understand how awful you are. I'm returning your Hannah Montana underwear to you, but I'll keep my virginity as a memory. You should also know that I get sick when I think of your feet and I'm scratching my butt as you read this.
Love always,
Airi

Summer has been different for me this year. I was not entirely spending my time at home since I went to work as an intern at a community pharmacy, been busy attending meetings and preparing lessons for youth sunday school class ages 12-13 (oh yeah great, you can call me a teacher now. still unbelievable HAHA). I also attended the Multi-Stake Youth Conference as a leader (since I graduated from my youth days already! being a leader is less the hassle because you don't need to attend workshops and stuff. Now you're the one to tell them to get out of their rooms and attend the workshops plus, you get the chance to stay up all night. Yeah. Me and some of my co-leaders damaged our brain cells during our last night. It was terrible, I don't wanna do it again. I really need to sleep.) and also other church activities... I also spent more time with my loved ones, my dear family!! *HUGS* especially with my siblings. We got a lot of time to talk, laugh and do stuff together, catching up for the lost times. It's funny when everyone else is at home with a big family like ours, there's like a party around with all the noise, food here and mess over there. Haha. It's just all part of the fun and growing up. ;) ..and also spent with friends that I don't really get to see during the school year but what really makes it different from my past summers is that this summer, I wasn't afraid to face the sizzling warmth of the sun and soak myself in salt water and chlorine. Yay! :)
Photos from our family outing. Yeah, I know we're all sooooo cute and lovely. Hahahaha
Photos from our latest Ward SA activity (again at the beach! at Moalboal baby) the place is just woooowooooweeee. :) hahaha. White sand beaches. Look at us here! The jumping and candid shots were a lot of fun.
I am turning into a beach babe lately. Nevermind the picture below, I didn't realize that my back view can also look awful. As if I was sad and alone in the beach. hahahahaha :)) anyways, can you see the beach? It's sooooo relaxing. I just love it. I hope to spend romantic moments in places like this! And I hope to go to the beach and have happy moments with my family and friends too. Oh yes baby. I'll be back for you soon. :D
I miss the place... New Sacred Heart Pharmacy. The busy street of B. Rodriguez and the ambiance being near a busy hospital. The numerous drugs such as tablets and ampules arranged alphabetically, the medical supplies, and all other pharmaceutical products that they sell.
I miss the people there... The people who I interact with like patients and customers from different walks of life. (some suppliers too!) The sale clerks, the cashier, the pharmacist-in-charge, the guards... They were a family to me during my stay there. :)
Most of all, I miss myself... I miss the girl who would wake up early and rush up to the Pharmacy with her white uniform and name plate on it who rarely sits down when on duty 'cause she's busy entertaining customers, dispensing drugs, mixing suspensions, while her knowledge became broader as she's learning and studying more about drugs and stuff.. and smile, talk and talk, and laugh! and when she gets home, she's uniform is kinda dirty due to dusts and is tired but fulfilled. Good times. :)
Hey guys! I simply loved the finale for this year's American Idol. Hahaha yay! Well, sorry to disappoint Adam Lambert's fans... (we all know this rocker dude is a brilliant singer too with an amazing, roaring voice, I bet he's gonna be a superstar too!) but the guy with the boy-next-door look is just so irresistible! His breath taking voice and his captivating way of making us fall in love with his singing and how he plays his instrument is nothing but oh-so-warm-and-loooooving!! And yes, Kris Allen won!! :) hoooooray! :D can't wait foe their albums to come out. ;D

Last May 15, Jocelyn celebrated her debut party. It was a lot of fun even during the preps, practices, etc.. ! I'm glad that I was able to be with them once again. Thanks to Joy's birthday! We were reunited once again, high school classmates (of course, my bests!!) and some schoolmates, also with our 4th year class adviser, our nanay, Mrs. Olandria! *HUGS* I'm so glad to be with you!! >:D< and to Jocelyn, you're such a beautiful girl best! Cheers for the all the good times and for wishing you all the best you deserve! God bless!
Look at our dear Princess Joy during her special day.. sooooo girly hah!! *winks* She's just so beautiful. :)
Some photos during her sexy pictorial?? Hahaha hott!!! :D my goodness! Embrace legality dear!
... And some photos of us, during the party and the last rehearsal for our dance together with some new found friends from CAFA and some old friends from USJ-R, together with the "bests" Heya CIRCUS people!! :P Aww, I'm surely gonna miss you guys! See you real soon. xoxo
There were times in my life where in I get to a point that I tell myself, “I wanna be this, I wanna be that” someday!!! And when something would interest me at some point, magugustuhan ko na rin talaga yun. Just like how kids feel. As I grew up, I had lots of plans, dreams, ang dami kong gustong maging! Siyempre bata eh and now I’m finally reaching to this point of my life where in the decisions I make today will influence my who and what I'm gonna be in the future. :) sounds serious diba? Hmmmm so here I am, sharing of my top 5 dream jobs…Let’s make it a countdown. Heehee. :)
5. A fashion designer. I’ve always loved to draw when I was kid and people would usually tell me, “Wow. Manang-mana sa tatay ah!” And I liked drawing girls more than boys and that’s how this dream of mine all started. I got interested to this fashion world even though I don’t know what it was all about back then and started designing all types of clothing for my girl models—which were my girl drawings! (I remember those days! Ang cute!!) :) Blimey, I always had an artistic side! :)
4. A meteorologist. I think this is much better than my dream of being an astronaut. I had this dream when I was in gradeschool, I loved science so much and my favorite discussion was all about the solar system. I enjoy studying it that I'd even read more more books just to get more info and after, I’m struck with awe. I wanna see stars! I wanted to visit each constellation. Talagang napapa WOW ako!!!
3. A mother. Hmmm to others, this may sound really lame. Diba? Hahaha. I know. Im not kidding. I’ve understand the role of mothers loooong time ago and it’s such a divine role. Diba may point ako? No one else can comprehend to their job. It’s all because of L-O-V-E. I’ve known many mothers whom I look up to and I wanna be like them. I want to build a happy home. I want to raise up righteous children— or a righteous posterity! :) yeaahhh O: ) but sometimes thinking about the whole motherhood scene makes me say.. “OH NO NO NO, that’s like….eeeewww..eeekkkkk!”
2. A writer/journalist. For the love of writing and for my most favorite subject in high school, English!!! (which is followed by Biology and Social Studies) I dunno, it’s just something I’m passionate about. When I was a kid, I had this diary where in I write everyday and until I reached high school, I was able to keep it updated. (Except today, been so busy! Booooo college! Haha) that’s how it all started and I’d even write stories, essays, uhm not much with poems but I’ve tried doing it too! Did you know? It’s easier for me to put my emotions into writing than just say it. Ackk!! Well, that’s the truth but Im kinda practicing to say it all out now. :p
1. A doctor - - - - a dermatologist. Remember when you’re a kid and when you’re asked what you wanna be when you grow up, the usual answer would be “Doctor!” well I was definitely one of those ambisyosang kids but later I learned that you need to study for how many years and my relatives actually gave a kind of impression that I can do it. Oh well. :) but why derma?? Gusto ko lang. I kinda like taking care of the skin and all these topical agents interest me but then, I’m also aware of the not-so-good conditions of the skin that one could probably encounter. I’ve also thought, wouldn’t that be cool if I’d be addressed with “Dr.” or I’d have an “M.D.” at the end of my name? or maybe not? ;)
NOW WHAT????! I’ll be on my 3rd year as a Pharmacy student this June. I really dunno what went into my mind why Pharmacy. Maybe I thought of it as my premed course if ever I’ll proceed to medicine and pursue my goals of being a doctor someday. I've tried to talk about this to my mom a month ago and she doesn’t like this idea na (but why?? She has always been supportive of this dream of mine.) It’s not practical daw eh. I have five siblings pa who are still studying and mas makakabuti if makakatulong na raw ako and if I study to much baka I’ll be really smart na raw and it’ll be difficult for me to look for a partner kasi mataas na talaga standards ko. Whaaaaaaaaaattt?! =/ I just can’t get it but the idea of ending up as a registered pharmacist someday is already something good enough for me. I’ve been thinking also, nakakapagod kaya mag-aral but I have this belief that if you really want something that bad that you’d really work hard just to have it, it’s gonna be yours talaga. :) hmmm let’s see… There are so many possibilities and life is just full of surprises!! Who knows, I prolly could end up with all of these!! HAHAHA :D
So I’m leaving the teaching profession.
It makes me sad, really. God knows how much I love the kids in school. But I have to follow my heart and right now, it all tells me one thing.
I just hope that the next batch of student interns will love the students as much as I loved them because I loved them with all my heart. And it will pain me to see them wasting their time on some dudes and dudettes who can’t love them whole heartedly.
I’m gonna miss my kids. Big time.
Whoa. The school year has finally ended. The finals killed me. It was totally exasperating. Biochem and Dosage lec can be soooooo depressing but I’m glad those dreadful days of nail biting, hoping-my-grades-are-all-okay are over… I saw my grades yesterday with the help pf my classmate, Nylram. (Thanks Am! Congrats to us! Hehe) My Dosage lecture grade really decreased 1.3 points and that was disappointing on my part. Anyways, I passed Biochemistry and Dosage! And that’s all I need to know. :p
Last March 26, Kimchie celebrated her 18th birthday at Parklane International Hotel. (and it was at the same hall where I had my Senior’s Ball in high school, haha!) The party was good, ‘twas organized. The delicious food made me feel better. Yummmm. ;) It was actually dominated my Pharmacy students, my classmates to be specific. Ir was like our last get together as we say bye-bye to our sophomore year and enjoy our summer vacay. Kimchie looked very pretty and hoooooot! Woot whew. Hahaha :) But she’ll always be our sweet little innocent Tera. It’s really nice to see her bloom so fast. I can still remember the day when we met, we were awkward freshmen back then but now, we’re growing up fast! Haha. Yeah welcome to the club! Let’s rejoice and embrace legality sweetie! [Some pictures of her debut can be found in my Multiply]
I’m glad my Petsociety and Boys Before Flowers series addiction has finally come to its end. Haha it makes me laugh because it really kicked out the crappy kid in me. I admit, I was surely delighted. :) Everything seems to be sailing smoothly these days. The simplicity of happiness getting to spend more time with my family, for those whom I love and especially for myself is the ones that will be keeping busy. Not to forget the people that I’m going to love and serve. I feel both excited and nervous with my new Church calling and working as an intern pretty soon. Good luck to moi. :D
I’m really not a fan of the beach because I never liked getting myself soaked under the heat of the sun. Talk about being OC about my skin but then yesterday, together with the Single Adults from our ward, I had the best time at the beach located at the southern part of Cebu. I just simply had to forget my worries of getting a sunburn and just enjoy the water, the sand, the sun and the good company I’m with. :) thanks so much guys!!!! >:D< Now I understand the bliss of beach lovers. Count me in baby! I’m surely looking forward to visiting more beaches and is willing to get that healthy, glowing, bronze skin once in awhile. Life is simply beautiful. No need to complicate things okay? There’s so much more to love and explore. Praise the Almighty One who made it all possible for us to be happy! O: )
I went searching for stones in the beach and after my long search, I found a stone that is shaped liked a heart. Almost perfect. It’s really cute. I wrote something to it and gave it to someone whom I can entrust my heart. D’you wanna spell out ‘cheesy’ for me? Hahaha!
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw it off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” –Mark Twain
Enjoy the summer!
